Again her dress was designed by the legendary Tony Bowls, who is said to have fallen in love with Laura after speaking to her for an hour and a half.

With her crown and $50, 000 scholarship win, Laura wants to pursue a law degree in Family and Child Advocacy to help children of incarcerated parents along with running her organization Circles of Support, which Laura started when her father began to serve a sentence for mail fraud when she was a senior in highschool. This topic was her main platform where she stated, “I want children to feel less alone and have the right mentoring and as much of a relationship with their parents as possible. ”
