  • Seventeen Style Pro Prom Pick Alert: Sherri Hill 50873

With the Prom 2017 season officially here, it's certainly time to start hunting for that perfect prom dress ( and shoes and accessories). There are so many choices, though. Where to begin? Lace? Open back? Cut-outs? Which dress designer? With so many new looks and trends becoming popular this season, there are certainly endless possibilities.

While you can always check right here on our blog for all things prom, from top trends to styling tips, another go-to place is (of course) Seventeen Magazine for always on-point fashion ideas. If you haven't found it yet, they have a whole section dedicated to prom on their website! But, that's not what we're here to talk about today. We've recently teamed up with one of their Seventeen Style Pros, Morgan, to get her pick for the best prom dress of the 2017 season.

    Sherri Hill 50783

Seventeen Style Pro Morgan chose Sherri Hill style 50873 as her prom 2017 dress of choice, and for obvious reasons - it's beautiful! See her thoughts on the Sherri Hill prom dress below.

"Loving the freshness of this bohemian inspired Sherri Hill gown (Style 50873) in the newest spring shades of powder blue and blush.  The embroidered bustier-style bodice is great for showing off your figure, while the flowy chiffon skirt, makes it comfortable enough to dance the night away.  Add the matching choker for a touch of drama.  Find this gorgeous dress and so much more at Rissy Roos!"

    XOXO, Morgan

We love Morgan's pick to get that perfect spring and summer vibe. One of our favorite parts of this look is the matching removable floral choker that comes with the dress. With chokers being so on-trend lately, it's a perfect way to bring the look to prom in a classy way. Morgan certainly knows how to choose a dress with style!

Whether florals are on your mind, like style 50873, or there are other trends you have your eye on for Prom 2017, head over to our prom section to shop all the latest looks.

  • Sherri Hill 50895 On Stage At The 2017 Oscars

Last week, we were all about gal celebrities Emma Stone and Jessica Biel at the 2017 Oscars, in their beautiful golden dresses. Of course, they weren't the only gorgeous looks at the Oscars; there were plenty more celebs looking glam from head to toe, from the red carpet to the stage. While we of course loved all of the dresses, we were so stunned to see one of our own prom 2017 dresses hit the Oscars 2017 stage that night!

Do you know what dress... or what dress designer we're referring to? Hint: it was during Justin Timberlake's performance. Still need some help? It was a Sherri Hill dress!

One of Justin's dancers rocked Sherri Hills style 50895 during his Oscars performance, showing off that the dress was certainly created for the dance floor. Of course, who wouldn't look good standing next to Justin? But, we're pretty sure it's the dress giving this dancer a gorgeous glow, in this case. We loved that Justin's dancer paired the dress with black strappy heals. We're also loving the red dancer emoji-esque pose that she's pulling off in the above photo ?! Perfection!

Style 50895 is a bold satin ball gown that features a high illusion plunge neckline, a fitted bodice, and a defined racerback with an exposed zipper and cutouts just above the cinched waistband. It's topped off with a high-low floor-length peplum skirt that adds the perfect amount of volume, and of course flow for the dance floor, with fabric that cascades at the top of the high side-slit, and a short underlay. It's such a unique style that's sure to catch everyone's attention, whether on the Oscars stage or the Prom dance floor (and with or without Justin Timberlake by your side ?).

To finish off the look with a black strappy heel like this Oscars dancer, check out Mercury by Touch Ups Caged Sandal, Queenie by Touch Ups Sassy Strappy Sandal, or Dale by Touch Ups Jeweled Sandal. You can also check out the rest of our black heels for many other fun choices to pair with Sherri Hill 50895. After you get the dress, shoes, and accessories, all that's left is striking that red dress dancer pose on the dance floor!

  • Emma Stone and Jessica Biel Glowed At The 2017 Oscars

Jimmy Kimmel certainly made for a hilarious night, hosting the 89th Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. From surprising a group of tourists by bringing them into the theater to meet their favorite celebrities, to re-creating a famous scene from Lion King, to tweeting the President, to his always spot-on humor, he had us smiling and laughing, a perfect balance to some of the awards winners bringing us to tears with their acceptance speeches.

While we loved the show, as always, our eyes were glued to the red carpet. The 2017 Oscars had so many gorgeous looks, but there were two celebrity looks in particular that we were obsessing over: Emma Stone and Jessica Biel. They both wore shimmery golden dresses that were reminiscent of the golden oscar award every nominee was hoping to claim as their own. Check out what they wore below and how to get their looks for prom!

Emma Stone at the 2017 Oscars

Actress Emma Stone wore a pretty gold gown with beautiful embroidered details and fringe, reminiscent of dresses from the roaring 1920s. She let the stunning dress speak for itself by keeping the jewelry to a minimum, only accessorizing with a ring and statement earrings. She topped the look off with bold red lips.

    Intrigue by Blush 315

Get an elegantly patterned look like Emma's Oscar dress with Intrigue by Blush 315, an eccentric gown that's covered in an intricate design of glimmering sequins. The fitted bodice has a sweetheart neckline, just like Emma's dress, and sequined spaghetti straps, which cross-cross over an open back for a totally unique look. The column skirt grazes your curves, giving off a similar silhouette to Emma's Oscars look, then drapes into an elegant train.

Jessica Biel at the 2017 Oscars

Actress Jessica Biel went all-in with gold, rocking a floor-length gown with long sleeves. The beautiful sparkly dress was topped off with a gold purse and gold choker style necklace. because her accessories were as bold as her dress, Jessica kept her makeup simple, with a soft pink lip.

    Primavera 1743

Sparkle just like Jessica at the Oscars with Primavera style 1743. Style 1743 is a uniquely beaded and sequin floor-length gown that features long sleeves and a train, just like Jessica's dress. Add more gold by pairing with a purse like La Regale RL50011 Mini Mesh Wristlest, or keep the accessories more simple and rock bold makeup and nails like in the photo above.

A gold dress is certainly a perfect choice for prom if you're looking to feel like a starlet on the prom dance floor. Whether you dress up the look with bold makeup, like Emma, or bold accessories, like Jessica, you'll be shimmering all night long.

  • Jodie Sweetin Looked So Sweet in Sherri Hill on the 2017 People's Choice Awards Red Carpet

January 2017 is here, and Awards Season is in full swing! Last week, it was all princess vibes at the 2017 Golden Globes, with both Lily Collins and Lola Kirke wearing pretty, soft pink gowns on the red carpet. This week, it's People's Choice Awards time!

The 43rd People's Choice Awards, which honored the best in popular culture for 2016, was held this past Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The awards show was so much fun to watch, and of course the red carpet was full of fabulous looks!

While there were so many celebrities in pretty dresses on the 2017 People's Choice Awards red carpet, our eye was on one celeb: Jodie Sweetin. If you don't recognize the name, you'll certainly recognize the character she place on TV. Jodie plays Stephanie Tanner on the sitcoms Full House and Fuller House! Of course, everyone loves Full House. Netflix has brought it back in such style with the new TV show Fuller House, and everyone has fallen in love with Stephanie and DJ Tanner all over again.

While we love watching Jodie on Fuller House, we couldn't believe how sweet (pun intended) she looked on the People's Choice Awards red carpet! Partly because she always looks so stunning, and partly because she was wearing one of our favorite dress designers: Sherri HillContinue reading

  • Princess Vibes at the 2017 Golden Globes

With a new year means that it's time for Awards Season! Yesterday, Sunday January 8, 2017 marked the HFPA's 74th Golden Globe Awards ceremony, and the night was so much fun, from the red carpet to the awards show. The ceremony honored the best in film and television from 2016 and took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. This year, Jimmy Fallon hosted, and awards were given out for all types of movies and shows, from "La La Land" to "The Crown." Meryl Streep even received a lifetime achievement award!

But, that's enough on the actual event. It's time to get to the good stuff: the red carpet, of course! With prom season just around the corner, the Golden Globes red carpet is a prime place for prom dress ideas, and the 2017 Golden Globes certainly didn't disappoint.

While there were so many prom perfect trends on the red carpet, from plunging necklines to sparkly sequins, there were two celebrities that absolutely blew us away with their dresses. Those two celebrities were Lily Collins and Lola Kirke! They both gave off absolute princess vibes in their pink ball gowns, and we couldn't be more obsessed. See what they wore below and how you can rock their looks for prom.

Lily Collins at the 2017 Golden Globes

All we can say is OMG! Actress and model Lily Collins knows how to walk a red carpet in style with her beautifully elegant pink lace ball gown. She topped it off perfectly for a classic princess look with dark red lipstick.

    Sherri Hill 50844

Get Lily's elegant pink princess look with Sherri Hill 50844. This ball gown features a fitted, satin bodice that has an illusion plunge neckline, sheer modesty panel, and U-shaped back. The tiered, lace, a-line skirt is cinched with a beaded waistband, totally reminiscent of a classic storybook romance, just like Lily's dress.  Continue reading
